Dear CFAEP Members,

Let me begin by thanking the membership for their participation in this year’s board elections. I am happy to report that the participation in this year’s board elections was outstanding and we have elected a fine group of active and motivated people to organize meetings, activities, workshops and handle day-to-day responsibilities.

I also thank Jennifer Thomson for her excellent work over the last couple years as President. She has done a great job and set a great example as President. She has been a tireless worker and her stamp has been on every successful CFAEP event and activity. Fortunately, we can look forward to her continued involvement on the Board as Past President.

Our Board members include Jennifer Cummings (Vice President), Victoria Colangelo (Treasurer), Alexis Preisser (Secretary), Frank Gidus, Carolyn Malphurs, and we welcome new board member Mark Brandenburg (formerly of the Treasure Coast Chapter). These people have worked very hard over the past few years and are responsible for everything from organizing general membership meetings to making the Fall Social happen. I am thankful for both their past services and their continued service to our organization.

It would be a great injustice if I did not recognize two other individuals that have participated at board meetings and will be contributing their efforts. Kathy Hale has always been an outstanding member and has served in every CFAEP Board position at one time or another. Kathy has always found an important way to contribute to CFAEP and continues to do so by managing our website. We are also very happy that Julee Sims has joined us and will be serving as Chair of our Membership Committee.

There will be great opportunities to serve as committee members this year. We will be announcing the opportunities at the upcoming meetings. Some opportunities include a membership drive and event planning. Please join us in our efforts to expand our membership by encouraging colleagues to attend upcoming meetings and events. Be sure to check our website for future announcements.
