September 2016 - 'Little Wekiva River Invasive Plant Removal'

In September 2016, a team of CFAEP members volunteered for an invasive plant removal event on the Little Wekiva River in association with The Wild and Scenic River Ambassador (DEP) and The Seminole Education, Restoration and Volunteer (SERV) Program. Volunteers removed the invasive plant Hygrophila and other non-natives from the Little Wekiva River, to prevent the species from moving downstream into the Wekiva River.
