President's Message

Hello CFAEP Members and Friends,

I am honored to have the privilege of being the incoming President of the Central Florida Association of Environmental Professionals (CFAEP). I’ve worked in the natural resources/environmental regulatory arena in both the public and private sectors for over 25 years. I have a B.S. in Limnology from the University of Central Florida and have held a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certification from the Society of Wetland Scientists since 2011. Prior to relocating back to Orlando, I spent 20 years in the Tampa area, where I served two terms on the TBAEP Board of Directors. I currently work for AtkinsRealis as a General Consultant to Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise in the Environmental Management Office.

On behalf of the current CFAEP Board of Directors, I would like to acknowledge the leadership provided by outgoing President Amy Guilfoyle and the previous Board of Directors. Thank you for your hard work and commitment to the CFAEP over the past two years! I would also like to take the opportunity to welcome the new and returning class of CFAEP Directors. Over the course of the next two years, we look forward to providing our members opportunities to participate in a wide range of networking events, including some exciting new events, as well as established favorites like our Orlando Magic night out, trivia night, and our annual Membership Appreciation event. We also will continue the tradition of holding our networking luncheons throughout the year with informative, relevant presentation topics by local environmental professionals in the industry covering a range of topics.

As we look forward to the next year, some of our priorities will be to continue providing avenues which help our members grow professionally, such as networking or serving the community with CFAEP events and helping encourage engagement of our members and continue to grow CFAEP outreach, both on the Chapter and State level.
