Econlockhatchee River Kayak Trip
Field Trip Summary
Paddle eight miles through the cypress forest of the Little-Big Econ State Forest, along the Econlockhatchee River. The Econlockhatchee River is an Outstanding Florida Water, along which we hope to see bald eagles, red shoulder hawks, wading birds, river otters, and alligators.
We will be meeting at the take out point at the Snowhill Road Bridge. Please make sure you arrive by 1 pm. We will be taking a shuttle from the take out point, to the put in. From there it is a 3-4 hr trip back down the river.
Lunches will be available at 12 pm at the registration desk, please don't forget to collect it.
WHat to bring
Please be sure to bring water, sun protection, and clothing that can get wet.
